ABOUT SAINT JOHN SCHOOL

MISSION:

Saint John School is a Roman Catholic School serving grades pre-kindergarten to eight in Old Saybrook, Connecticut and surrounding communities.  We provide challenging academic, extracurricular, and spiritual programs that encourage the following of Jesus as set forth in the Gospel.  Recognizing that we are disciples of Jesus, teachers and families are working together to inspire individual growth, self discipline, confidence and Christian service.

OUR PRE SCHOOL (3 year olds and 4 year olds):

* A safe, nurturing and spiritual atmosphere. Drop off your child and spend the day with the peace of mind that they will be happy and smiling when you return.

* A dedicated pre-K classroom, bathroom and playground within a school.  Use of the library and gym/auditorium. Watch your youngster grow, surrounded by experienced teachers, kind staff and classroom "buddies" from the older grades.

* A competitively priced, full-day (8:45am-3:00pm) program. Includes rest time, music, reading, creative art and play time. Earlier morning care and later afternoon care available.

* A traditional, structured pre-school curriculum based on Christian values.  Know your child is being prepared socially and academically for Kindergarten, with the option to  continue at the same school, known for its excellent academics and family atmosphere.
